In July 2014, a leading industrial equipment company approached Proco Global in the search for a (European-based) Director of Operations - Europe.
The client, a multinational, private equity backed company approached Proco Global to help with the search, created due to an internal restructure. The objective of this search was to identify a strategically strong and dynamic senior operational leader with a proven track record in change management and preferably previous experience in managing multiple sites.
We felt confident from the client brief, in our strong understanding of the role requirements. Combined with our specialised research team and effective talent-mapping strategies we were able to quickly identify the best talent available for the position. The focus for our research team during this search was to identify the optimal combination of operational seniority, hands-on mentality and strategic strengths in order to leverage and improve the Operations, Supply Chain and Logistics functions across the six European sites.
From the initial market mapping, we were able to identify a long list of 70 potential candidates, who all underwent technical and experience based questioning.
Four weeks after the search was launched we presented a shortlist of six potential professionals for the role, all of whom proceeded to second stage interview and on-site assessments. The final candidate signed his contract 14 weeks after the search launch.
