In September 2013, Proco Global was approached by a leading luxury brand for a confidential and urgent search. They were looking for a Supply Planning Senior Manager/Director.
The brief was minimal. They needed a French speaking professional to be based in London, with a Manufacturing background and experience working in the Cosmetics industry.
It was important that the successful candidate had experience dealing with complex Supply Planning and running Production Planning at a senior level. Man-management experience was essential as well as the ability to build strong working relationships with suppliers.
Our dedicated research team worked with our extensive networks in EMEA to map the market (using referrals and recommendations) concentrating on candidates with the necessary technical understanding – the most challenging criteria to match.
Our French language capabilities as well as our extensive knowledge of the Cosmetics industry and strong candidate network enabled us to deliver a shortlist in just a few days.
Two strong candidates stood out from the interviews and the choice between both was a difficult decision to make for the client.
Due to the strategic nature of the position and additional internal organisation considerations, the recruitment process took longer than expected, requiring Proco Global to manage the candidate’s expectations and keep them both engaged in the process.
