Proco Global were engaged on an exclusive basis by a leading manufacturer of polymers and performance chemicals, to fill a niche role for Asia Pacific Olefins Procurement Manager.
The position had to be based in Singapore, without the option of an expatriate package for candidates who wished to relocate. They were looking for a candidate who could start at the beginning of August 2013.
Due to the technical requirements of the role, it was essential that candidates had experience sourcing a very specific group of petrochemicals (olefins).
Over the course of four weeks, our dedicated APAC research team worked with our extensive networks to map a select group of firms (not just competing chemicals manufacturers firms, but also upstream oil and gas firms) across Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and China.
Working our network of contacts, we were able to provide the client with a credible shortlist of five candidates who met the strict technical requirements of the role, were in budget, and could start by 1st August 2013.
The client was provided with a comprehensive report detailing feedback from the competency and technical interviews; a full detailed career summary and general overview including strengths, weaknesses, motivation and management style.
Our in-depth understanding of the petrochemical industry coupled with our highly specialist network meant that we were able to guarantee fast delivery.
We worked closely with all of our candidates to understand their circumstances, and ensure we only introduced candidates that meet the key requirements. As a result the successful candidate, who was based in China, was relocated to Singapore without the need of an expatriate package, within budget and in time to commence on 1st August.
Proco Global has a wealth of experience carefully managing complex recruitment processes and strives to add value to both clients and candidates at every stage of the process.
